Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec and the Historic District of Old Quebec since 1985 appears on the World Heritage List established by UNESCO. It is also the only walled city in North America.
Quebec had nearly 516,622 inhabitants in 2011 and more than 765 000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area, making it the seventh most populous city in Canada.

Quebec has many festivals and events taking place throughout the year and allow residents and visitors to attend live music of all kinds, to become acquainted with cultures of different peoples and eras, or just have fun with friends and family.
